A local friend of mine suggests these places for beers ... Wynkoop Brewery, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Falling Rock Taphouse, My Brothers Bar, and Celtic Tavern. I haven't tracked down their locations yet though...
Falling Rock Taphouse, among some of the others, seems to have a pool table. I enjoy both large beer selections and pool.
I like this idea. I need to compare the local brews of Denver to those of San Diego. I have a bit of a bias towards the latter. I feel this would be a great event/touring for Thursday night.

This should be fun. I am also going to try and bring some of my brews with to test out on you folks. I've got a Porter, IPA, and a Brown Ale that are all ready to go. Not sure if I can get them all in my luggage, but I'll try. Cheers..... 1 week countdown begins.
Definitely interested in joining you all for some local beers. Great idea to use the #mw2010beer tag on twitter too.
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the group this year, and I look forward to meeting some of you. Relevant to the beer conversation, I lived for many years in Colorado, and so I do know some of the hotspots. One of the oldest and best brewpubs, right downtown will be Wynkoop Brewing (http://www.wynkoop.com/). their Railyard Ale is an easy drinker for sure. Another Colorado favorite (from my college town of Ft. Collins) is New Belgium Brewery (http://www.newbelgium.com). They make several varieties of Belgian style ales. They should be on tap practically everywhere. Another to look out for is Odells (http://www.odells.com/), their 90 shilling ale is awesome, its sort of a lighter Scottish ale. they should also be on tap in many pubs. I think that Colorado may be the 2nd or 3rd largest micro brewing state in the nation, somewhere in the mix with California and Oregon, so beer drinkers are going to have lots of options. One recommendation, particularly for craft beers, most places will let you sample a bit before committing to a full pint, so if you see something that sounds tasty (like a green chile beer!) you can taste first. (and I recommend at least one green chile taste for sure, it's Coloradoan. but only one. its not a session beer. :) Look forward to meeting you all!

I'd love to join you guys but only if we can do it Wed/Thurs/Fri... I'm heading up to Rocky Mountain National Park for the weekend.
Good idea :)
Maybe we could arrange something few days before if you're in town ?
Saturday ?
Romaric.
Sounds good! Looking forward to catching up with some old friends.
I'm hoping to have some internet scouting done by then. Looking forward to Denver!
Let's use #mw2010beer on Twitter to organize on the spot? I would love if people would tweet good taps at local bars, takes some of the guesswork out...

I like it. I will be on the hunt for some tasty craft beer as well.
