Museum Boerhaave, the Museum for the history of science and medicine, has a collection of historical scientific instruments. The new site presents all the 40.000 objects from the museum in a surprising and original way. Not only related objects can be found, but also the contrary. Next to the biggest object, the smallest is displayed. Museum Boerhaave has been bold to put all the objects online, with or without a good image.

The colorful collection of Museum Boerhaave is difficult to bring under one denominator. The same applies to the visitors: from small to large, from young to old. This diversity is characteristic for the museum. It led to the overall concept of 'opposites' for the website that reflects the unique atmosphere of the museum. Browsing the site is like a journey through the galleries where you are constantly surprised and seduced.

Not only is the site extraordinary, also the developing process was new and different. Museumboerhaave.nl is the first Dutch museum site that is developed using the agile method SCRUM. And that in only 6 weeks!
