Nominations are now open for the MW2010 Best of the Web competition, and will be accepted until February 21st. Nominate a site.

All sites nominated will be reviewed by a the Best of the Web panel and awards offered in a number of categories. In addition, users of this site will choose one site as the People's Choice in April.

Wikimedia Foundation projects and the museum community sticky icon

This fall, Archives & Museum Informatics and the Wikimedia Foundation entered into an agreement to co-sponsor Wikimedia@MW2010, a day-long workshop to be held on April 13 2009 in Denver for exploring and developing policies that will enable museums to better contribute to and use Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons, and for the Wikimedia community to benefit from the expertise in museums.

MW2009 Demonstration Hall

Full descriptions, including presenter biographies, are now online for the Museums and the Web 2010 Demonstration Hall. These 44 presentations join 2 pre-conference tours, 15 pre-conference workshops, 50 papers in formal sessions,  17 other interactive sessions, and an exhibit hall to make up the MW2010 formal program.
