Museu Picasso Online Community
-Pioneer 2.0 project and implementation among South European museums. Project established through a 2.0 Strategy Plan, that has become a reference among Spanish museums (available on Slideshare).
-Integrated access through the main website. The “Online Community” section aggregates all the different social networks where the Museu Picasso is present, inviting users to interact and to be an active part of them.
-Behind-the-scenes blog, with plurality of museum staff voices, explaining processes more than results: assembly of exhibits, online collection, communication campaigns, restoration work, etc. All trilingual Spanish-Catalan-English. Readers’ comments are more frequent in the Catalan or Spanish versions (we’re in the process of merging comments of the three languages). In six months the blog has had more than 50.000 reads.
-Photo albums in Flickr with the assemblage of new exhibitions in the museum; video interviews with exhibition curators on Youtube, monthly e-news (trilingual), etc.
-Participative Flickr initiative to provoke user-generated-content: “Become a Fauvist” contest, to stimulate participation as well as artistic creation. Excellent users’ pictures uploaded. Jury integrated by Museum staff plus popular voting through the blog as well.
