MW2009
Institution:
Musée du Louvre
Designer:

Why:

Lupicatule is a new interface and navigation for children of the website of the Louvre museum.

Designed for children 8-12 years, which is to provide an animated
character that can be called at various times of navigation on the site - in different languages - thanks to articles which signed its path. This character can give explanations on the site and its modus operandi, or telling a story about a work of art in cartoons. The character is Dominique-Vivant Denon, the first curator of the Louvre Museum.

Very original and innovative, great success fo child mediation of work of arts.

I found this site accidentally - it's enchanting!  And the content is fascinating - great extra stories about the objects or artworks.
