Sarah E. Aerni has been working the field of library research and assessment for over 4 years. She is currently a research assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her tasks include working on two IMLS grants: (1) A Study of the Users and Potential Users of Online Information and (2) The Future of Librarians in the Workforce. She also assisted with a study on the Return on Investment in Pennsylvania public libraries. Previously she was the Special Projects librarian at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to her MLS from the University of Pittsburgh, she holds a degree in Economics from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. She also spent a year and half in Germany on a Fulbright scholarship.
