Categories
Museum Web sites from around the world are nominated in a variety of categories and are judged by an independent panel of judges. The categories are:
- On-line Exhibition
- E-Services or E-Commerce
- Innovative or Experimental Application
- Museum Professional's Site
- Research Site
- Education
- Small?
- Best Overall Museum Site, selected by the judges from all of the sites nominated.
Judges may make a separate award in each category for small museums/budgets, to explicitly recognise work from smaller institutions.

Judging Criteria
Conflict of Interest
No site will be considered for a Best of the Web Award, if a judge is associated with it in any way. Nominated sites will be reviewed before judging begins to ensure no conflicts exist.
