Since 1989, Bill Howze has worked as an independent producer of video programs for museums and cultural organizations as well as several hour-long documentaries broadcast nationally on PBS. He has also written grants and served as a humanities advisor for a variety of projects. His work is characterized by the desire to convey to the public the lively curiosity and disciplined methods of museum curators, scholars, and artists. He created the department of Special Programs at the Amon Carter Museum, where he worked for twelve years, and developed the museum's wide ranging series of public lectures, seminars, film series, and special events. He earned his Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, and his M.A. and B.A. degrees from Yale, where his fields of study were American material culture, history, and art. He was a member of the Yale Art Gallery's first museum training class and has held adjunct teaching positions at several universities.

William will present A Museum-University Partnership to Develop Web-Based Educational Resources
