Web Developer

The Corning Museum of Glass, the world’s foremost museum dedicated to the art, history, science and technology of glass and glassmaking, seeks an innovative developer to support the Museum’s recently redesigned website in Drupal (http://www.cmog.org/), as well as digital signage, mobile applications, in-gallery interactive media and other digital initiatives. This is an opportunity to be part of a small, talented team to help develop the Museum’s growing digital media presence and to support a world-class museum in its mission to share its scholarship and knowledge of glass online.

Responsibilities include:

• Creates, enhances and maintains websites built in Drupal in collaboration with the Museum’s Web Designer/Developer.
• Develops custom Drupal modules and themes.
• Implements bug fixes and assists with routine maintenance of existing websites.
• Participates in all aspects of product development: analysis, planning, testing, development and maintenance.
• Researches emerging technologies to help identify enhancements to website, user experience and/or internal CMS workflow.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience developing in Drupal, preferably Drupal 7 and demonstrated experience developing Drupal modules.

Located in the heart of picturesque Finger Lakes Wine Country in upstate New York and within driving distance of New York City, Toronto and other major east coast cities, the Museum offers excellent benefits and competitive salary.
