reworked menus / nav

I'm working through a revision of menu and navigation structure, trying to make it more straightforward to find the kinds of things that are on the site, and to make it possible for people to understand what's here.

Here's what i'm thinking ...

Top nav

• titles on all the links that explain the sections
• landing pages for the sections that describe their content

Right nav

• user / account functions
• moved research forum and news to top nav

Left nav

• highlights of content
• changes based on sub-section

Make sense?
