Job: Webmaster: Mount Vernon, VA (USA)

General Description:
The Webmaster will be responsible for the design, maintenance and management of George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate Web sites and related services; advancing Mount Vernon's educational outreach initiatives and promoting visitation and support.

Responsibilities: Work closely with internal departments to assist in Web site related procedures including: Recommend, design, develop, deliver and update web content specific to fine arts collections, images, video, research, events and activities; Enhance site navigational structure, templates, pages and graphics presentations; Establish Web publishing policies and provide user training; Perform as Gatekeeper for all new content; Utilize site traffic analysis to improve site functionality, eCommerce and marketing efforts; Enhance SEO; Enhance user functionality related to: online retail transactions, donations and memberships, and; Develop new media, including video, podcasts, blogs, RSS feeds, etc.

Qualifications:
* Expert in technical standards such as HTML, HTTP, XML, PHP, Flash and CSS
* Significant experience with various programming languages, Drupal content management system and Microsoft/My SQL database query and reporting
* Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows Server OS
* Social Network-savvy
* Detail oriented with the ability to effectively analyze, prioritize and problem solve
* Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently in a timely manner
* Certification by the International Webmasters Association
* Degree in CS, Software Engineering or related experience with emphasis on business writing
* Excellent verbal & written communications skills and a courteous professional demeanor
