Creating an online resource for Cultural Historical Photography

I run the Swedish Secretariat of Photographic Collections, mainly supporting other institutions in collection management and mediating cultural historical photography online.

I have a very old website, and will now be able to put up a new one (with very limited resources). The technical aspects is however not the big issue (I will use Wordpress). It's the content I'd love some input on. So I wonder if anyone has seen great resources on cultural historical photography online that they can share?

Main target groups: Institutions and organizations collecting, preserving and mediating cultural historical photography. Individuals interested in our photographic cultural heritage.

Main goal: Create a website that is a resource with facts but also displays current topics and information. Engaging!

Want to avoid: A static Web 1.0 site.

Any advice much appreciated!

Best regards
