the biblio module is now installed for the Research Forum. It's much better for handling references that the previous bookreview attempt. Import from EndNote makes it a lot easier to populate; all the MW papers are now there. Export's there too.

i've made minor modifications to the .css for the module -- could do a bit more yet, but it seems to be functioning.

any requests?

Hi Jennifer,

I downloaded the entire set of references, although I had some difficulties importing them into my copy of EndNote -- which may be a bit too old. In any event, this is a fantastic resource to have available online!!
What do you think about allowing people to upload entire EndNote libraries of their own? Is there an easy way to detect duplicates during the upload process -- which I'm sure would be a nightmare??
Thanks so much for putting this together!!! Best, --Paul

Paul,

Where did you run into trouble with EndNote? Was it a field mapping question?

You, Joan and Darren, as facilitators of the Research Forum, now have the ability to upload files to the Research Forum. De-duplicating is going to be a bit of a challenge; right now there is no functionality to do that. We may need to commission some programming if it becomes a real problem.

I'd be keen to think about what else we want to add other than the Endnote references now we have this wonderful space!  (cheers Jennifer!) I'm also wondering whether we can include a keyword search functionality and whether we want to think about a standardised vocabulary for cataloguing resources....Any thoughts?

Hi all - I agree - this is a fantastic resource :)
It is easy and intuitive to sort the list for authors and titles - nice.

Is Endnote the only way to up and down load references?
(My copy of Endnote has timed out so I'll have to get a new one.)

I agree with Daren that it would be nice to have a keyword search too.
Since most papers have a keyword list, it should be possible to index that using a google like index and search tool??
Working with a standardised vocabulary would require a librarian and post processing of the references, as many authors probably do not use one.

My 2 cents,
Nice work Jennifer :)

There's a missing php module, so trying to export in xml is throwing an error...
