Talk at the Museu Picasso, Barcelona today

This morning David and I gave a talk at the Museu Picasso in Barcelona. We were asked to highlight some of the issues facing museums as they work to make the best use of network and social media technologies. Since our Spanish is limited (and Catalan even less apparent -- sorry!) we chose to feature sites that were well documented in papers and presentations at Museums and the Web. This meant that if things were 'lost in translation' it would be possible for those present to follow up easily.

As it turned out, the translation was great (thanks!). But we know that we covered a lot of ground. The sites we discussed are all bookmarked in in a list that likely includes few others that didn't make the presentation.

The slides themselves, that include references to the MW papers, are now on Slideshare (and embedded below). Thanks very much to Conxa and Anna for their hospitality. We're looking forward to being back in Barcelona again soon!

Thanks so much, Jennifer and David for your kind words here and, above all, for such a great presentation. We've been receiving e-mails + tweets all day commenting how inspiring had it been and thanking the @museupicasso for organizing it :)))

All the credit is yours!

The talk has been live webcast. We'll upload the edited video soon. I'll drop a word when ready.

You'll be more than welcome in Barcelona anytime!

Best regards,

Conxa + the whole museum team.
