Abstract

(Paper in French) Using examples of my multimedia work with Australian Aboriginal people, Dream trackers, Yapa art and knowledge of the Australian desert (CD-Rom, Unesco Publishing 2000) and Quest in Aboriginal land, (DVD in progress) I propose to analyse the relation between the non linear cognitive mapping of knowledge by indigenous people, and the non linear models used in multimedia, in DVD and on the Internet. Different questions arise for teaching anthropology or offering an anthropological context to museum collections for a wider audience. For instance, how much interactivity and non linearity can/should be built in a multimedia production in order to still allow a progressive and oriented way of learning especially in terms of audio-visual methods for the comparative approach of data. %U http://www.archimuse.com/publishing/ichim03/036C.pdf
