| Abstract | Starting from the idea that the iconological interpretation involves knowledge operations too difficult to describe in a conceptual model, this contribution intends illustrate the hypothesis on which we are trying to develop an automatic system that is capable of surpassing the level of iconographic subject classification and of reaching the level of a (possibly) formal iconographic description. |
