Veronica Black is finishing up her junior year as a student in the Media Arts program at New Mexico Highlands University working on a Bachelor in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Digital Filmmaking and a minor in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Studio Arts. Veronica is participating in the Media Arts Department's Cultural Technology program. In 2008 she was a member of a collaborative student team that produced artist documentaries for the SITE Santa Fe biennial "Lucky Number 7". In 2009, she was one of fourteen students selected to participate in the Program in Interactive Cultural Technology, where she contributed a documentary video about museum textile conservation to "Fashioning New Mexico," one of the inaugural exhibitions at the New Mexico History Museum. Her summer internships included producing a promotional video for the Museum of New Mexico's Van of Enchantment mobile museum program as well as co-producing three short artist videos for the Museum of New Mexico Foundation/NM Creates program. Most recently, Veronica was a member of the winning team from her Advanced Design Practice class who were invited to help redesign the website for the Marian Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences in Washington D.C. She will graduate from NMHU in 2011 and plans on pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts degree in Digital Media.
