Marco Franciolli

A trained art historian and experienced arts museum curator, Marco Franciolli is currently the Keeper-director of the Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts in Lugano (Switzerland). Since 1990 he is Member of The International Council of Museums (ICOM), Member of The International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and Member of various Cultural Foundations and Commissions in Switzerland. Following his interest in cultural policy, cultural co-operation and cultural network he achieved in 1995 The European Diploma in Cultural Project Management, promoted by the Council of Europe through the Fondation Marcel Hicter, Bruxelles. At present, apart from his managing and curatorship attributions, Mr. Franciolli writes articles for art magazines and gives lectures on history of art and cultural policy in museums and universities in Switzerland and abroad.
