Carol uses digital technology to augment experiences of nature and the environment. Her artwork is in collections at the Museum of Modern Art, New Museum of Contemporary Art, and the J. Paul Getty Museum. She has exhibited collaborative, interactive installations at SIGGRAPH conferences in 2002, 2008, and 2009. Reviews of her work have been published in BBC Technology News, Chronicle of Higher Education, and Wired. In 2004 her project on leafcutting ant colonies was documented in a PBS series entitled “State of Tomorrow,” about innovative research in higher education.
