Miriam Langer is an associate professor and department chair of Visual and Performing Arts at NMHU, and has over 9 years of experience in Media Arts, training students and working with faculty on graphic design, interactivity, multimedia, exhibit design and digital filmmaking. Her focus has been to develop broadly trained, adaptable professionals for the diverse media arts industries in New Mexico and beyond. Langer received an MFA from New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program and spent the dot.com years in New York on developing some of the first websites and web applications for museums and arts organizations. In New Mexico, she has worked continuously with museums to bring digital technology to exhibits and useful content to websites.
