Lorrie Beaumont
Lorrie Beaumont specializes in the evaluation of informal and formal education programs. Lorrie spent four years as an educator and evaluator at the DuPage Children's Museum prior to becoming an associate with Selinda Research Associates as well as an independependent evaluation consultant. With a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a M.S. Ed. in Educational Psychology, Lorrie specializes in experiences for young children in museum settings, and collaborative education programs, including on-line programs, involving museums and schools. She has advised several museums on teaching techniques for educators. Lorrie has taught primary school students as well as college level pre-service teachers. Her research interests include working with young children and families in informal settings, training of educators in museum settings, and professional development for teachers. Lorrie is currently a doctoral student in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Program Evaluation and Child Development.
