Your Background

Your Biography

I have worked for 20 years at Boston Children's Museum developing programs, exhibits, resources and opportunities for families and educators across the country and around the world. I have led hundreds of professional development workshops, reaching thousands of educators in New England and across the United States and have contributed many articles and conference presentations to the afterschool and museum field. Recently I have worked to expand the Museum's reach through our online resources. I authored “KIDS Afterschool”, the first-ever free full-year, multidisciplinary online curriculum for afterschool programs. This curriculum can be found at www.BeyondTheChalkboard.com, and is currently used in every state in the U.S. and in over 90 countries around the world. In 2012 we will also release online "Learning Together", an IMLS-funded museum staff training curriculum which I co-authored. I am especially interested in the intersection of new and developing technologies; and the ever-evolving nature of families and educator's needs/expectations in light of those technologies.
