Your Background

Your Biography

Sarah Banks joined the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) in 2006 after completing her master’s degree in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Since 2008, she has developed and cultivated websites and social media presences for NMNH, which have expanded over time to include YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, and FourSquare. Collaboration and coordination amongst NMNH’s departments, as well as many of the nineteen Smithsonian units, lies at the heart of NMNH’s social media efforts, and Sarah enjoys utilizing these partnerships to bring the best of NMNH science, exhibits, public programs, and staff, to the public.
