Your Biography

R.J. Townsend is a local small business owner, entrepreneur, author, and overall techy/geeky guy with ten years experience using web-based technologies to bring ideas to life. He is the principal and managing partner of Cultivate Technologies, a Philly-based technical consulting firm specializing in free and open source software such as Drupal and Linux. R.J. is the author of Foundation Drupal 7: Learn how to use the Drupal framework to quickly build feature-rich web sites, published by Friends of Ed.

R.J. earned his master's degree in quantitative psychology from California State University, Fullerton, has published several articles on integrating research and technology, and won an award for his research in 2005. R.J. is currently working on an MBA at the University of Delaware and is on the board of AIGA Philadelphia, the professional design association.
