Your Background

Your Biography

I am based in Scotland and I am currently working on a doctoral research project in the School of Education at the University of Edinburgh, UK. My research is funded by an AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award through a partnership between Edinburgh University and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS); the PhD project explores the changing patterns of power and participation through social media in museum access and education. My academic and professional background is in linguistics, lexicography and reference publishing, where I developed a keen interest in the impact of the web and digital innovation on content creation and sharing in the creative industries, and the wider implications for cultural institutions. The doctoral research I am currently conducting offers a unique opportunity for an in-depth investigation of such areas.
