Michael Wilson has been the education technology specialist at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles for the past four years, designing and developing interactive media based educational experiences for the museum.
A few of his more interesting projects include a robotic pelican that tells the story of flight, a vibrating light-pen that shakes the matrix off of a hologram fossil, an interactive flash bashed scientific journey to 2000 feet below sea level, and a computer controlled microscope for looking in-depth at gems.
Previously Michael taught interactive media, web development, video production, and game programming at the Art Institute in Santa Monica, developed online corporate learning programs in Flash for eHigher Education in Manhattan (focusing on ALCOA industries employee interactives), designed and implemented animation algorithms for the Creative Institute of Technology's serious game initiative for the US Army, and was a research associate in interactivity and 3D at NYU.
