Your Background

Your Biography

Koven J. Smith is the Director of Technology at the Denver Art Museum, where he directs technology itself. For over a decade, Koven's primary focus, whether at DAM, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or the Indianapolis Museum of Art, has been to make technology in museums not be terrible. Koven has also been a steering committee member of both and ConservationSpace, and is the chair and founder of the MCN Semantic Web SIG. When not laboring over various museum projects, Koven can be found teaching, writing music, or singing the Phil Collins/Philip Bailey classic “Easy Lover” at the top of his lungs for no real reason.
