Your Biography

Robert is the National Outreach Program Manager within the Museum's Office of Education and Outreach. He uses technology to communicate the relevance of the Museum's scientific research and collections to the public and he has been involved in mobile applications over the past few years. He manages the development of online products, including video, and conducts front end and formative evaluations. His most recent publication is on the assessment of visual storytelling using a Webcomic, winner of the 2009 Best Paper Award at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference . He has also written articles on evolutionary biology and science education. Recent projects include the mobile app MEanderthal; Smithsonian's Human Origins website; the webcomic, A Secret in the Cellar; SI Wild, a website on camera trapping; Encyclopedia of Life; , and Global Genome Initiative.
