Your Background

Your Biography

Gail Durbin is a freelancer in the areas of museums, the web, social media and user-generated content. From 2002 to 2011 she was the Head of V&A Online where she was responsible for digital and media projects. She started her career as a history teacher and has worked for Norfolk Museums Service and English Heritage. She has published widely on the educational aspects of museums and the web. Gail is entirely non-technical but hugely excited by the power of digital media to further the mission of museums to reach out to and engage with their audiences. She is particularly intertested in encouraging user-generated content.
