Your Biography

Areti's scientific interests lie in the cross-section of museum and visitor studies and the use of interactive media for learning in indoor and outdoor informal learning environments. Areti holds a BA Honours in History of Art and Archaeology, an MPhil in Cultural Informatics and Cultural Engineering and a PhD in Interaction Design. Her PhD Thesis focused on the introduction of mobile multimedia museum guidance systems and examined the potential of mobile technologies for the museum visit.
Within the framework of proposing and evaluating engaging and interactive experiences for museum visitors, Areti has collaborated with many museums and cultural heritage institutions in Europe as well as with industrial and academic research laboratories. Areti is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher within the "Interactive Media and Mobility" working group of the "cedric" laboratory (Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM)) in Paris, France.
