Your Background

Your Biography

Coming from a background in language education, I entered museum and gallery work through the Museum of London where I was the Digital Learning Assistant. The programme of digital learning spread across the museum's departments and we worked extensively with schools in the galleries, our digital studio and offsite with mobile, online and sited technology.

I am currently at the V&A where I work as Digital Programmes Manager, again in the learning department, managing courses for adults, families and schools in our digital studio. The museum's fine art and design collections provide endless inspiration for working with artists to design interactives, installations and deliver innovative workshops in anything from toy hacking and wearable technology to architectural design and photography.

My research in the area includes play in learning, collaborative technologies in education and artists residencies in museums. I am a lecturer at Institute of Education, University of London and teach on the MA Museums and Galleries in Education course.

Outside of the museum world I can be found whizzing through the traffic of London on my bicycle on my way to the nearest coffee shop for espresso and cake or engrossed in science fiction novels the depth of a Bible with some crackly vinyl soothing me into my seat.
