Your Background

Your Biography

Alex Cary is a writer and editor at the National Gallery, London. He is passionate about stories – of all kinds, most of all good ones. Alex enjoys finding new ways to make emotional connections between people and paintings. He gets stuck in to a wide variety of content at the Gallery, editing the collection online, and writing news and features. He also advises on education and research publications.

Before joining the Gallery in 2007, Alex worked on a wide variety of websites for government, charities, and businesses including Reuters and EMI Music. Generally amiable, he has occasionally been caught remonstrating about misused punctuation.

This is his first time at Museums and the Web.
