Brad JohnsonCreative Director Brad Johnson is the co-founder and Creative Director of Second Story, an interactive studio that creates informative and entertaining experiences for the Web, kiosks, multimedia installations and other digital media. From intuitive collections accessibility sites to rich-media interpretive presentations, the studio is dedicated to inspiring, educating and entertaining audiences through innovative, interactive storytelling. After studying philosophy and pursuing a career in the arts, Brad has focused on exploring new forms of interactive media since 1994. The studio has collaborated with many outstanding museums, media and cultural institutions, including the Theban Mapping Project, The Museum of Modern Art, the Smithsonian Institution, The National Archives and Records Administration, the National Library of Medicine, National Geographic, PBS, Peabody Essex, DreamWorks, Kodak, NASA, Virgin Records, Experience Music Project and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Second Story's work has received over 100 industry awards and honors from the design community and popular press, including five AAM Muse awards and three Museums and the Web awards in 2003. Brad will present Place-Based Storytelling Tools: A New Look at Monticello. |
