Demonstration: Demonstrations - Session 2

The BC Museum of Mining is embarking on an ambitious plan for the future. The Britannia Project will be a world-class facility that will house the BC Museum of Mining, a centre for mining innovation, earth gardens, a revitalized waterfront, a new town centre and many other exciting initiatives (see The first major capital project is the refurbishing of the Concentrator, an epic building that sits on the side of the Sea to Sky Highway. As of now, most of the amazing building is out of bounds for the public due to safety concerns. The BC Museum of Mining, with the assistance of credible partners, will be creating an interactive, online journey through this fascinating building, providing unprecedented access and information. The Curator of the museum will be demonstrating the progress of this project, still in development, speaking on the challenges that smaller museums face when creating an ambitious VMC project.
