Roger Bruce Roger Bruce is Director of Interpretation for George Eastman House in Rochester, NY where his duties include supervision of information management, the Museum's Education Department, and other educational initiatives. In 1994 Mr. Bruce initiated his museum's focus on digital photography by organizing the Eastman House colloquium, The Digital Image in Curatorial Practice. As a result, Eastman House was invited to participate in the Getty Information Institute's Museum Educational Site Licensing Project, a formative investigation that led to the Museum's charter membership in the Art Museums Image Consortium (AMICO) -- providing for the syndication of museum images and related information for university and other educational libraries. In the 1980s, Mr. Bruce directed the National Endowment for the Arts' Task Force on Photography and Related Media and later served as a Coordinator for the Endowment's Visual Arts Program in Washington, DC. Starting in 1984 he developed and directed the New York State Artists' Fellowship Program, providing grant support to artists of all disciplines throughout New York State. Mr. Bruce came to George Eastman House as guest curator in 1993 and joined its senior management staff in 1994.
