John Myers is the History and Contemporary Studies Consultant, Toronto Board of Education, (seconded to the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. He has taught elementary, secondary and university students in Ontario and British Columbia.

His professional and research interests include promoting historical understanding, classroom assessment and evaluation and use uses of on-line and face to face group processes to enhance communication, collaboration and problem solving
