Perian Sully is a consultant specializing in digital asset management and collections systems implementation, and online collection access for museums, libraries and archives. She is currently working with the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco to implement a digital asset management system.
Previously, she was the Project Manager for Digital Asset Management and Online Access at Balboa Park Online Collaborative. Prior to working at BPOC, Ms. Sully served as the Collections Information Manager and Web Programs Strategist at the Magnes in Berkeley, and was instrumental in creating the Magnes' social media strategy and its integrated archives-library-museum collection management system and online database. She has written extensively about collections information management and online access, including for the Encyclopedia of Library and Information Science, New Museum Registration Methods 5th Edition, and the Journal of Museum Education. She received her Masters degree in Museum Studies from John F. Kennedy University, Berkeley, California and a Bachelors degree in Studio Art from the University of California, Davis.
