Online Learning Manager
Museum of London
I am lucky enough to sit with the Museum of London’s Learning department as the content editor and commissioner for all learning-related web activity- an offer including schools, families and Higher Education. This means I not only maintain and develop existing web content but also work on new projects for online activity or products.
This includes crowdsourcing work, the development of new games and resource packages, and large-scale partnership working (including extensive work with the office of the Mayor of London on their innovative new London-specific curriculum for schools) to support the Museum of London’s key strategic objective of reaching every London schoolchild.
I have some 10 years’ experience working in culture and education in a variety of settings across London. This includes time at Tate, Creative Partnerships and the UK Poetry Society, in the latter running a wide programme of poetry activity in UK schools and teacher training institutions and working with talented new young poets- many of whom have gone on to achieve national success.
I have experienced working in a great range of the wonderful arts settings that London has to offer, including time at the British Museum and Barbican Centre. I attended Oxford and Bristol universities in the UK and still love to engage with my work through an academic lens. I was thrilled to attend MW15 in Chicago and learned a huge amount from my inspiring and insightful colleagues in the sector.
