Video Editing and Webcasting Assistant – Smithsonian American Art Museum

Fantastic opportunity for a video editor / media production assistant in the Media and Technology Office of the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and Renwick Gallery, in the heart of downtown Washington, DC.

You’ll be part of an innovative team, providing support for video and media production and webcasting related to the exhibitions, public programs, and overall daily operations of SAAM and the Renwick.  This position comes with excellent benefits, and has room to grow.

As Chief of Media and Technology at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery (SAAM), I lead a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to support the museum's web, mobile, and multimedia development. I am a strategic thinker who is passionate about improving user experiences for digital visitors and researchers who rely on museums, archives, and libraries for access to reliable information and resources. Previously, I’ve managed web and social media at SAAM, and at the Smithsonian's Archives of American Art. I have a BA from the University of California, San Diego, and an MLS and MA from the University of Maryland, College Park.
