Minneapolis Institute of Arts (Mia) is hiring a CRM Technical Lead to help the museum drive one of its major customer-centric strategies. Mia is nearly finished with a complete, integrated roll out of, ticketing, retail POS and a new points+rewards system. The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Technical Lead will have a vital role on a dynamic, cross-functional team that is responsible for implementing and enhancing CRM best practices at Mia. The CRM Technical Lead will serve as a Salesforce Administrator, and will provide training and support across the museum to enable staff to gain insights from customer data, provide personalized service and develop effective visitor experiences across all audiences.

Douglas Hegley joined the museum sector in 1997, after previous stints in higher education and pediatric research. During 14 years at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, he helped create collaborative technology operations and deliver engaging digital content to visitors. In 2011 he joined the Minneapolis Institute of Art as Director of Media and Technology, where he sets the vision and strategy for all technology and digital media efforts, and aims to deliver engaging stories to all audiences via digital channels. Mr. Hegley has been recognized by his peers as a leader in the field, and has served on the boards and committees of several cultural heritage organizations, including the Minnesota Association of Museums, the Museum Computer Network (president in 2011), Museums and the Web Program Committee, and the New Media Consortium.
