Navigable with a Wii controller and capable of 3D stero imaging, immersive systems inspires "viewser" curiosity and interactive learning in virtual, 3-dimensional worlds. Immersive systems are uniquely adaptable to many types of museum content and provide the public something not accessible from home. The system is transportable and made from off the shelf components. It portrays 3D environments via screens that wrap around the subject's position, delivering a kinesthetic response that ties vision to a bodily sense of space. Surround sound audio further builds spatial reference and ambience. Similar to a gaming experience, the virtual environment is intuitively designed thus highly attractive to viewers of all ages and not limited to one's physical mobility.
Sun, 11 Apr 2010 22:04:13 +0000 Carol LaFayette comment 2901 at http://www.museumsandtheweb.com Web and Drupal Development Services http://www.museumsandtheweb.com/forum/products_or_services_mw2010#comment-2847
Hi,

The Bluespark team has been excited and happy to support the Archives & Museum Informatics MW2010 team with Drupal support services over the past months.
