CollectionSpace Implementation Grants Available

CollectionSpace is a dynamic community of professionals working in the arts, humanities, social, and natural sciences, collaborating to design, develop, and share a platform for collections information management that: supports traditional collections management activities; enables the integration of emergent and dynamic new technologies into the information ecologies of museums; and is an effective and affordable alternative to one-off applications developed in-house and proprietary offerings. CollectionSpace is freely distributed under the ECLv2 license.

Grants of up to $7,500 for single institutions/collections and up to $25,000 for collaborations among organizations are available for new adopters needing assistance with planning, installation, configuration, data migration, and more.

Questions? Email or attend an online walkthrough, where we’ll answer any and all questions about the grant. More information about the walkthroughs can be found on our community calendar.

Activities eligible for funding include:

  • Creating connectors between CollectionSpace and other applications or virtual shared collections such as Omeka, Murkutu, the DPLA, or Europeana
