Your Biography

She is currently a doctoral student in Museology at the Department of Art and Culture Studies, University of Jyväskylä (Finland). Her research is conducted within the doctoral program of the Finnish Research Education Network on the Society’s Memory Functions (MEMORNET). In her research she investigates the possibilities of using new media in small museums in the Finnish context. At this moment she is developing ViMuseo.fi, a content management system designed for small museums without digitized resources (more about the project http://vimuseo.fi). Having a background in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology (MA), Magdalena has been interested in using new design methods (combining ethnographic methods, participatory design and action research). Based in Helsinki.
