Your Background

Your Biography

I'm a museum educator who started out working in on-site programming, creating and evaluating hands-on activities for target audiences that were fun and social while also achieving learning outcomes. Now I do pretty much the same thing but I use social media and web tools to engage the public.

I'm passionate about sharing amazing stories about museum objects and experts using social media, connecting the public with all my museum has to offer, and helping my colleagues adopt digital tools to do their work in a more open, transparent way. Right now, I'm experimenting with tweet-ups, re-envisioning the museum's blog, and learning valuable lessons about crowdsourcing.
