Your Background

Your Biography

I lead the Digital Media department at the National Gallery, London, and am a multi-skilled digital professional focused on creating exemplary user experiences across the digital spectrum. I’ve been responsible for the development of some of the most widely recognised, award-winning projects within the cultural sector, across online, mobile, and kiosk platforms.

Now heavily focused on strategy, communication and change management, in 2010/11 I successfully stewarded the development of the National Gallery’s first Digital Engagement Strategy. My goal has always been to identify and implement new approaches that will both inform and engage audiences whilst meeting key organisational objectives.

I have spoken at conferences in the UK and internationally, and this year will be sharing my experience of strategy and project development at Museums and the Web. I’m an active board member for the Museum Computer Network (MCN) since 2010; I’m often called on to share my expertise and experience, most recently joining the Advisory Board of the Imperial War Museums' exciting new NESTA funded project, which looks at social interpretation.

At heart, I’m an ideas person who brings out the best in a team. My extensive background in design and content development means I take a holistic approach – always with an eye on the bigger picture. I’m passionate about the digital world and the ever-changing opportunities it affords us to communicate and share on both a domestic and global stage.
