Why
With members such as Churchill, Dickens, Simon Callow and Michael Palin, the London Library is a renowned independent library in Piccadilly. Serving over 8,000 members, it required a website that elevates its presence whilst being faithful to its enviable heritage.
By carefully examining the library’s users and behaviours, we devised a site architecture and functionalities to improve online journeys. We combined characterful imagery with a clean and modern design to create a functional site that preserves a distinct personality.
The elegant new website now attracts a record numbers of online visitors and has increased physical footfall. Enhancements such as interactive books offer a new level of engagement with members, whilst the online shop has become a new revenue stream.
