Joanne Kaczmarek is the project coordinator of the Illinois Open Archives Initiative Metadata Harvesting Service project. She received her MLS degree from the University of Illinois in May 2000. Prior to the OAI Metadata Harvesting Service project she worked for the Office of the President of the University of Illinois implementing an electronic filing system designed to digitize documents for immediate retrieval as well as archival purposes.
