Mark Christal
Mr. Mark Christal is a doctoral candidate in Instructional Technology and an education researcher. His dissertation research topic is a multiple case study of virtual museum projects for Native American students. He has been working on projects involving Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, educator professional development, and mulitmedia and learning projects on the WWW since 1993. He has taught high school mathematics for two years and is an accomplished photographer and poet. Through his involvement in the Four Directions project, he has trained hundreds of Native students and their educators from twenty reservations. He was awarded a Special Recognition of Outstanding Contribution from the Pueblo of Laguna in 1997. He co-authored Schools as Knowledge-Building Communities, published the Texas Center for Educational Technology.
