With nearly 15 years in the interactive design industry, Troy Lachance is recognized as a pioneer of compelling digital experiences for museums, cultural institutions, nonprofit organizations, and universities. His clients have included MoMA, the J. Paul Getty Museum, Financial Times, Doctors Without Borders, National Geographic, the Field Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute, and the National Park Service. With an unwavering commitment to detail, and a passion for immersive storytelling, Troy has led the Bluecadet design team since 2008—earning national acclaim including several Webby, Webvisionary, ADDY, SXSW, and AAM Muse awards. His projects have been featured in HOW magazine and Communication Arts, and he has judged the Communication Arts Interactive Annual.rnTroy combines a liberal arts sensibility with expertise in experiential design, UI, and UX. He holds a Master’s with distinction in history from George Mason University, which had one of the first graduate programs combining history and new media. He went on to serve as a senior designer for the Smithsonian Institution National Portrait Gallery—a role that continues to inform his collaborations with curators and cultural institutions. At Bluecadet, he builds trusting, longstanding partnerships with clients by ensuring excellence in design, an empathetic consideration for user experience, and a thoughtful balance of beauty and functionality.
