Design for Context
Duane Degler is a partner in Design for Context, a Washington DC/Baltimore-based usable design consultancy. He specializes in the design of sophisticated interactive applications and search experiences, with an eye to making rich data resources usable. He has led web and software projects for commercial and government clients in the US and Europe, including projects in the digital humanities for organizations that include the National Gallery of Art and the National Archives. Duane has presented on web/mobile design, rich Internet applications (RIA), usability, and semantic web interaction design. He co-organized the Semantic Web User Interaction workshop series (2005-2009), and since 2003 has focused on the unique challenges and opportunities that arise when designing specifically for semantically-enabled applications.
